Warnell professor John Carroll is moving on to head the Natural Resources department at University of Nebraska, which is great for him but sad for me because I was really enjoying having such a cool Africa-oriented colleague in Warnell. However, the upside is that continuing Masters student Chelsea Welch will be switching over to join our lab. Welcome aboard, Chelsea!
While the official welcome will be in August, I’m excited that Liz Guinessey will be joining the lab as she pursues her PhD in Integrative Conservation and Ecology. With advisement from Ford Ballantyne as well, her program of study represents great creative synergy among campus resources, as only UGA could offer.
