On February 9th, the UGA organization Speak Out for Species (SOS) Animal Voices Film Festival showed the National Geographic documentary, “Battle for the Elephants.” The documentary addressed both the supply and demand sides of the illegal trade in ivory from African Elephants. After the event, Lizzie led a discussion with participants from UGA and the Athens community, delving into the complex social and ecological issues surrounding elephant conservation.
