This award honors the late Frank Golley, director of the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory from 1962‐1967 and director of the Ins
titute of Ecology from 1968‐1979. An internationally acclaimed leader in the field of landscape ecology, with important career contributions in a range of topics in ecology, biology, social sciences, and history. It is awarded to a graduate student in the Odum School of Ecology for outstanding academic and leadership qualities.
