Rachel Hughes, Teaching Assistant of the Year Award!

Rachel did so many projects during her sprint through her Masters, everything from developing K-12 teaching modules for Watershed UGA, to spending real teaching time in K-12 classes around Athens, to volunteer efforts, and even some hot and humid fieldwork in salt marshes. Somewhere on top of all that, she also took the time to shine as a Teaching Assistant, giving a tremendous amount of her time to help students succeed. Her stellar efforts were recognized at the 2015 Warnell Awards Banquet, when she was honored with Teaching Assistant of the Year award. Well earned, well deserved, and well done, Rachel!
