This paper, just published in Ecology and Society, builds on the analytical framework for ecosystem tradeoffs that our NCEAS-supported working group developed.  In this report, we evaluate how the framework can be implemented in a participatory context to assess divergent values among stakeholders, barriers to improving sustainability, and enabling factors that can promote consensus.
